On 20th July 2014, in his first ever bodybuilding competition, team revolution athlete, Vincent Mansi proudly walked away with a third place bronze trophy.
Vincent, with the aid of Revolution Training’s competition prep coach Ben Greenblatt, lost a staggering twenty one kilograms in order to be ready for the illustrious BNBF centrals in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
Surprisingly, on the day, Vincent landed himself in the middleweight class, despite weighing in at only sixty nine kilograms before the pre-judging.
Vincent, who was arguably the most conditioned in his class went up against some high-calibre, experienced competitors, and done himself extremely proud. He had great crowd support too.
Vincent approached Ben in order to train him and oversee his nutrition eighteen months before the competition.
On Vinnies’ result ben commented, ‘I couldn’t be more proud of my client Vinny, he put his heart and soul into his training and his prep, and the results speak for themselves. It was a bit of a blow for Vinny to end up in the middleweight class, he ended up giving away weight to bigger guys, but it’s his first time competing, which is always a learning curve, and as always we will come back bigger and better.’
Vincent narrowly missed out on a qualification spot for the BNBF British Finals, with only the top two heading for the Echo arena in September, where fellow Revolution Training athlete Tsuki Harris will be aiming to bring back more silverware for the team.
Vincent will now be making the most of a productive off-season to put on some good quality muscle.
